Becoming a better me

Before I sleep I just wanted to say that I’ve started retraining myself to avoid saying “I’m such an idiot/dumbass/child etc.” whenever I make a mistake and instead to state what I’m specifically upset at myself about.
Instead of saying “god why am I so dumb” when I lose my student ID, I might say “wow I’m so forgetful sometimes”.
Instead of going “I’m so annoying” to myself after a conversation, I might say “I wish I could focus a little more on what other people are saying” or “I want to stop doing xyz behavior”.
It still stems from the same feeling and isn’t a 100% positive thing but it helps me to identify what I’m actually upset with so that I can either change the behavior (by putting my ID in my front pocket of my backpack) or ask someone I trust if I’m actually exhibiting a behavior or if I’m just overreacting (like the many times I get upset at myself for just, being autistic.)
